Your responsibilities:
As a Jasper Reports Developer, you’ll be instrumental in shaping how our clients interpret their data:
- Create New Reports: Design and build new reports precisely to specifications.
- Enhance Existing Reports: Develop and modify current reports to meet evolving needs.
- Optimize and Debug: Verify correctness, optimize performance, and troubleshoot existing reports.
- Support Migration Tools: Contribute to the development of tools for migrating legacy reports to JasperReports (analyzing issues, proposing solutions, assisting with implementation).
- Conduct Training: Lead training sessions on JasperReports creation.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with developers, analysts, and database administrators to ensure efficient report operation and optimization.
- Test and Debug Reports: Rigorously test and debug reports to guarantee their flawless functionality.
- Client Collaboration: Engage with clients to understand their needs and tailor reports to their specific requirements.
- Database Adaptability: Adapt reports to function seamlessly with various databases, especially Oracle and PostgreSQL.
What we need you to have:
- Minimum 1 year of experience with JasperReports.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with relational databases, preferably Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
- Proficiency in XML and its processing tools.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Self-reliance and meticulous attention to detail.
- Eagerness to expand competencies into new technologies and deepen knowledge of tools and technologies you work with.
- A strong desire to develop skills and share knowledge with other team members.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Familiarity with Oracle Reports.
- Knowledge of other reporting technologies.
- Ability to program in PL/SQL and/or PL/pgSQL.
- Knowledge of Java.
- Familiarity with JavaScript or scripting languages (e.g., Python).
