Your responsibilities:
- Develop Test Strategies: Design and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies for system migrations and software transformations.
- Execute Thorough Testing: Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing across various platforms, including Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- Identify and Document Defects: Meticulously find, document, track, and retest software defects using appropriate bug tracking systems.
- Automate Testing: Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts to enhance efficiency and coverage.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
- Provide Quality Insights: Offer valuable feedback and insights to improve product quality, user experience, and development processes.
- Verify Migrations: Specifically test the successful migration and functionality of legacy systems, including Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports, to new platforms.
- Maintain Test Documentation: Create and update clear, concise test cases, test reports, and other quality assurance documentation.
What we need you to have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with testing relational databases, preferably Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
- Proficiency in designing, writing, and executing comprehensive test cases.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Self-reliance and meticulous attention to detail.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
- Familiarity with performance and load testing.
- Knowledge of SQL for data validation and testing.
- Experience testing Oracle Forms or Oracle Reports applications.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) in an Agile environment.
- Certifications in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB).
- Eagerness to expand competencies into new technologies and deepen knowledge of tools and technologies you work with.
- A strong desire to develop skills and share knowledge with other team members.
